Dan takes the lead. Diamonds for Amy?

Today's release from NBC Universal....

IT'S A "JEWEL" OF AN EPISODE ON NBC'S "THE APPRENTICE" MONDAY, MARCH 27th, 9-10 PM ET/PT

The Winning Team Is Rewarded With Diamonds

It's all aboard this week as the teams are given their fifth task to produce a 30-second commercial for Norwegian Cruise Lines - The Norwegian Jewel - a ship that's about to set sail, on NBC's "The Apprentice," (Monday, March 27th, 9-10 p.m. ET/PT). The team with the most effective, captivating, and creative advertisement wins. Dan volunteers to lead Gold Rush but alienates everyone on his team while taking on the task alone. Meanwhile, Roxanne's leadership clashes with her teammates, causing rough waters for Synergy. The winning team is rewarded with real jewels and a trip to the Brinks Diamond Vault where they get to take home their own diamonds. While it's smooth sailing for the winners, the losing team will walk the plank and face Trump in the boardroom.

Separately, Norwegian Cruise Line announced today....

The company is launching a nationwide contest for viewers on Monday, March 27 when they can log on to ncl.com for a chance to win a grand prize trip for two to New York with first-class air, three nights at the Trump Hotel and a cruise out of New York aboard either Norwegian Dawn or Norwegian Spirit. Entrants can also qualify to win one of 10 seven-day cruises.

I think it is safe to say Dan gets fired. Theresa mentions on her interview that Lee opted out of two tasks but no mention of Dan doing the same. Therefore one can assume Dan gets fired before Lee. Spoilers are announcing the Dan is the PM and alienates his team. I am thinking he gets the ax. Any thoughts?

but what if he wins the task? What is the usual way - do they preview the winning or losing team?

I think they tend to do both. I am guessing Lee sits out Succot and they don't film on Yom Kippur. I don't think Dan makes it to Succot.

anon2: Both teams are mentioned in next week's preview. Based on the preview information, both project managers run into trouble so we don't know who will win.

anon1: You might be taking Theresa's comments out of context. She wasn't talking about people who missed two tasks and then she mentioned Lee. She was talking about Lee and then mentioned that he missed two tasks. She didn't talk about Dan at all in the published comments so how could you conclude anything from that? It wouldn't have made sense for her, while discussing Lee, to say Dan also missed x number of tasks. Based on the info in the original post, if his team loses, Dan is gone. But as anon2 says, he could win the task.

I think Dan gets fired this week. I know someone who met the apprentice team when they were selling some sort of sandwich or food product. When she mentioned that she could not purchase it because she kept kosher, the team said "Oh we have someone kosher too!" and introduced her to Lee. Dan was nowhere to be found.

Next week's task is to write an ad jingle for Arby's. It probably doesn't involve selling food to people on the street. That could be the 7-11 task or the Outback Steakhouse episode. Does your friend remember exactly when this happened?

I think its a brilliant idea. I am only finding sites that are taking bets for the winner. Not a week to week thing.
